City Bike Path Grant, Denver CO

Denver City has been diligently integrating bicycle infrastructure these last several years. Like Portland, it is also one of the most rapidly growing cities that must adapt to an exploding population. Fortunately they already have a 15 mile bicycle and pedestrian pathway that brilliantly pierces the downtown and connects the vast metropolis. What is most extraordinary about this pathway is that it follows a clean creek with 10′ tall retainer walls on both sides.

Over the next 5 years, Denver City has set out to have all 30 miles of corridor wall adorned with murals. With generous grants and explorative vision, they are awarding grants to artists all over the country to beautify this historical and environmentally friendly commuter pathway. It was my great honor to be selected to contribute my art to Denver City’s noble bike path project.
